Interesting enough Detective Deodhram Singh, gets arrested for stalking a minor.
He was slapped with charges of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. After being arraigned in Albany County Court, he was ordered held in Albany County Jail.
Now lets see the meaning of the legal term second degree harassment:
Harassment in the Second Degree: Not Quite an Assault and Definitely Not a Crime in NY.
A person is guilty of Harassment in the Second Degree when, with intent to harass, annoy or alarm another person:
1. He or she strikes, shoves, kicks or otherwise subjects such other person to physical contact, or attempts or threatens to do the same; or
2. He or she follows a person in or about a public place or places; or
3. He or she engages in a course of conduct or repeatedly commits acts which alarm or seriously annoy such other person and which serve no legitimate purpose
He can get 90 days in jail, he can walk away with his job actually he can get away with it. Police officers are getting away with a lot of crimes, they hide behind a badge, and the law makers who allow this type of behavior by just giving people like him a slap on the wrist.
